Jamie Robinson, Tesco executive chef, product development, says: ‘Tis the season for entertaining! Why not host an Italian-style meal with a festive twist? We’ve got three delicious recipes to try, from our Christmassy spin on a carbonara to polpette flavoured with cranberry and Brie. Serve with plenty of S.Pellegrino; this quality sparkling water is perfect for special occasions. The gentle bubbles will enhance the flavours in the food, like the rich cheeses, roasted nuts and seasonal veggies.

  1. Primi: Caramelised sprout and chestnut carbonara

    Start things off with a pasta course; we love this Christmassy take on a classic carbonara. Spaghetti is tossed with golden, crispy sprouts, earthy chestnuts and salty pancetta in this 30-minute recipe.

  2. Secondi: Cranberry and brie chicken polpette

    These one-pan meatballs are a great sharing main for Christmas dinner parties. Made with brie and cranberries for festive flavour, the polpette are nestled in a spicy tomato sauce. Serve with plenty of S. Pellegrino for the table; the lightly sparkling water is a refreshing accompaniment to this warming dish.
