Crunchy apple, juicy pear and tart blackberries make these fruit kebabs a real autumn treat, especially when brushed with maple syrup and spiced with warming cinnamon. What's more, they're really quick and easy to make. Simply skewer the fruit, bake and enjoy with a delicious peanut butter yogurt dip! See method

Ingredients

  • 100g 0% fat Greek-style yogurt
  • 30g smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 large red apple
  • 1½ pears
  • 16 blackberries
  • small pinch of ground cinnamon
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method

  1. Mix the yogurt, peanut butter, 1 tsp maple syrup and 2 tbsp cold water in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat the grill to medium-high. Core the apple and pears, and cut each into 16 chunks. Thread 2 pieces each of apple and pear and 2 blackberries onto each skewer.
  3. Place in a single layer on a large baking tray lined with foil. Brush lightly with 1 tsp maple syrup, dust with a small pinch of ground cinnamon, then grill for 4-5 mins until the fruit has softened and is lightly charred. Serve warm with the dipping sauce.

Tip: If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 mins before using.
