Ingredients

  • 300g spaghetti
  • 250g smoked bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 250g baby spinach
  • 300ml half fat crème fraîche
  • 10g fresh chives, snipped (or other soft herbs, finely chopped)
  • 75g Cheddar, grated
If you haven't got spaghetti, try using linguine instead

Method

1. Cook the pasta to pack instructions in salted water.

2. Meanwhile, heat a large, deep frying pan and tip in the bacon. Cook until crunchy and golden.

3. Two minutes before the pasta is finished cooking, add the spinach leaves to the pan.

4. Drain the spinach and pasta, then mix with the bacon, crème fraîche, chives and cheese, along with some black pepper.
