Perfect for dolloping over mince pies and Christmas puddings, this luxuriously rich blend of butter, sugar and brandy is really easy to make and your guests will love that festive homemade touch.

  1. Either using a food mixer with a paddle attachment or a bowl and an electric handwhisk, beat the butter until pale, then add the sugar and beat for 1-2 mins until pale and fluffy.
  2. Add the brandy and 2 tbsp boiling water, beat until smooth, then chill until needed. It will keep for 3-4 days covered in the fridge.
