First created in the 1940s in Brussels and still a classic cocktail, the Black Russian is rich and strong with just vodka and coffee liqueur as it's main ingredients. Fill some glasses with ice, pour, and finish with a maraschino cherry on a cocktail stick. See method

Place a few ice cubes in 4 old-fashioned glasses. Divide the vodka evenly between the 4 glasses.
Pour the Tia Maria evenly on top of the vodka and stir briefly. Skewer the cherries onto the cocktail sticks.
Place one in each cocktail and one resting against each glass before serving.
