This quick and easy spaghetti is the perfect midweek meal. Make a creamy sauce with crème fraîche and garlic then stir in crispy bacon and sweetcorn. Try swapping the spaghetti with your favourite pasta shape, if you like. See method

Ingredients

  • 350g Hearty Food & Co spaghetti
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 300g pack Woodside Farms smoked back bacon, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 325g tin sweetcorn, drained
  • 200ml crème fraîche
If you haven't got spaghetti, try using linguine instead

Method

  1. Cook the spaghetti to pack instructions. Drain well, reserving 150ml of the cooking water.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a high heat. Add the bacon and fry for 5-6 mins until crispy. Add in the garlic and sweetcorn and continue frying for 2-3 mins more.
  3. Turn the heat down to low and add the crème fraîche and chives. Stir to coat the bacon and sweetcorn, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the cooked spaghetti and pasta water and toss together until everything’s well mixed.
