Create the perfect Christmas centrepiece with this jolly edible wreath. Constructed from ready-baked muffins, it's so simple to make. Simply pipe on frosting and decorate with festive treats. See method

Ingredients

  • 400g tub vanilla flavour frosting
  • 1 tsp Dr. Oetker extra strong green food colour gel
  • 12-pack chocolate orange mini muffins
  • 2 tbsp edible silver pearls
  • 1 tbsp sprinkles of your choice
  • 2 strawberry flavour laces
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method

  1. To make the green icing, stir the vanilla frosting to soften slightly, then mix in the green food colour gel until it’s one solid colour. Fit a star tip to a piping bag and use a mug or jug to help you fill the piping bag with the frosting. Chill in the fridge for 10 mins to firm up.
  2. Carefully pipe rosettes around the outside edge of each cupcake to resemble a wreath.
  3. Once all of the cupcakes have been iced, decorate with the pearls sprinkles to look like baubles. Twist short lengths of the strawberry laces into bows and stick to the frosting to finish off the wreaths.
  4. Keep cool so that the frosting doesn’t melt, and store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
