Ingredients

  • 150g 70% dark chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • 50g unsalted butter, diced
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • 100g hazelnuts
  • 2 pears, sliced
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method

  1. Firstly, prepare a batch of pancakes (see tip below).
  2. In a pan, combine the chocolate, butter and golden syrup over a low heat, stirring until melted. Remove from the heat.
  3. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, gently toast the hazelnuts for 2-3 mins, or until golden. Remove from the heat and leave to cool a little, then roughly chop.
  4. Stir three quarters of the hazelnuts into the chocolate. To serve, divide the pear slices between 4 pancakes. Top with the chocolate sauce, and then scatter over the remaining hazelnuts.
