Plum spiders recipe

5 ratings

These sweet spiders make a tasty Halloween treat, yet are made completely out of fruit. With a juicy plum body, raisin legs, and scary red berry eyes, this creative recipe is fun to make, too. Serve with a spiderweb yogurt dip on the side, if liked. See method

Method

  1. Cut the plums in half and remove the stones. Push 8 cocktail sticks into each half (4 on each side) and thread 4 raisins lengthways onto each stick to resemble legs. Poke 2 goji berries into the tops for eyes. Make sure kids remove the cocktail sticks before eating!
  2. If making the yogurt dip, spoon the yogurt into a small, shallow dish and draw a spiderweb on the surface using the chocolate writing icing. Serve alongside the spiders.
