Fancy a lasagne without all the faff? This cheat's version uses Bolognese ravioli and chunky veg pasta sauce for all the flavours of a lasagne in half the time. It's perfect for staycations or when you don't want to spend ages cooking. See method

Ingredients

  • 2 x 300g pack fresh beef Bolognese ravioli
  • 500g jar chunky vegetable pasta sauce
  • 160g 50% fat crème fraîche
  • 30 slices spicy chorizo
  • 250g grated mozzarella
  • handful basil leaves
  • 2 x 60g bags wild rocket
  • 3 tbsp balsamic glaze

Method

  1. Preheat the grill on high.
  2. Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the ravioli and cook for 3 mins. Drain well.
  3. Heat the pasta sauce in a saucepan over a medium heat for 3-4 mins until piping hot.
  4. Smooth a third of the sauce onto the base of a medium ovenproof dish (about 15 x 30 x 8cm). Top with an even layer of a third of the ravioli in an even layer, followed by a third of the crème fraîche, a third of the chorizo and a third of the mozzarella. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of mozzarella.
  5. Cook under the grill for 3-4 mins until golden. Serve topped with basil leaves and with rocket drizzled in balsamic glaze on the side.
