  • 1⁄2 bottle red wine (such as Chianti)
  • 100ml (3 1/2fl oz) cassis or 75ml (3fl oz) neat blackcurrant squash
  • 300-450ml (1⁄2-3⁄4pt) sparkling white grape juice
  • 400g (13oz) halved cherries
  • 10 orange slices
  • ice cubes

  1. In a large jug, mix 1/2 bottle of red wine, the crème de cassis or neat blackcurrant squash and 300-50ml (1/2-3/4pt) sparkling white wine grape juice.
  2. Stir in the halved cherries and the orange slices and some ice cubes to combine. Serve in 4 wine glasses or tumblers filled with ice.
