How to make a mincemeat Christmas wreath

The most beautiful (and delicious!) Christmas wreath – made with pizza dough and crammed with gorgeous fruity flavours, this showstopping Christmas bake can be mastered in just a few simple steps.

  1. Prepare the dough

Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, 180° C fan. Unroll 2 x 280g Tesco Ready Rolled Pizza Bases and place on a work surface sprinkled with 2-3 tbsp flour. Roll each circle into a rectangle approximately 26cm x 40cm.

    Prepare the dough
  2. Attach the dough

Brush the short edge of one rectangle with a little water and then overlap the other rectangle and pinch them together, to give you an 80cm x 26cm piece of dough.

    Attach the dough
  3. Mix the mincemeat

In a large bowl, mix together 500g Tesco Finest mincemeat, 1 mango (peeled, stoned and diced) and 150g diced marzipan, then spoon onto the dough and spread it out to within 1 cm of the edges.

    Mix the mincemeat
  4. Roll the dough

Starting at the long edge, roll the dough and filling to a long thin sausage.

    Roll the dough
  5. Cut the dough

With a very sharp knife, cut the sausage all the way down the length, to give you two long strips.

    Cut the dough
  6. Shape the wreath

Wrap the rolls over and under each other, shaping into a circle, tucking the ends in, to give a wreath shape.  Carefully place on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden.

    Shape the wreath
  7. Serve and enjoy

Dust with 1-2 tbsp icing sugar before serving. Delicious eaten warm, or can be enjoyed when cooled, too.

    Serve and enjoy
