A boozy, bite-sized Bloody Mary to ease those festive hangovers! Try serving with a traditional prawn cocktail or fig and blue cheese salad for big retro flavours. See method

Ingredients

  • 25ml vodka
  • 75ml tomato juice
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • dash of Tabasco
  • dash of Free From Worcestershire sauce
  • pinch of black pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • ice cubes
  • 1 quartered lemon slice
  • 4 cornichons
  • 2 halved cherry tomatoes
  • chicory leaves or flat-leaf parsley sprigs (optional)

Method

  1. Pour the vodka, tomato juice and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker. Add the Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of black pepper and salt and ice cubes.
  2. Shake, then strain into 4 shot glasses.
  3. Make a garnish with the lemon slices, cornichons and cherry tomatoes and thread 1 or more of these garnishes onto cocktail sticks. Use chicory leaves or flat-leaf parsley sprigs as mini stirrers.
