Margaritas are the ultimate party drink and this delicious twist contrasting the flavour of tart forest fruits with sweet sugar is sure to make it a festive favourite. Get ahead with this Christmas cocktail by frosting the rim of your glasses hours before your guests are due to arrive.

Firstly, rub a lime wedge around the rims of your glasses and dip them in sugar. Set aside. 

Combine the tequila, Cointreau, forest fruits, caster sugar and ice in a blender. Whizz until smooth but still a little slushy. 

Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
