Level up your party snacks with these roasted nuts, gently spiced with ginger and chilli. Ideal for drinks and nibbles with friends - and they only take ten minutes to make. See method

Ingredients

  • 200g mixed nuts
  • 1 tsp mild chilli powder
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp light soft brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil​

Method

  1. Heat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Toss the nuts with the spices, sugar, vegetable oil and a pinch of salt in a small mixing bowl, then tip onto a baking tray. Roast for 7-8 mins until lightly golden and smelling fragrant. Allow to cool completely before serving.
