Bring a touch of festive cheer to any party over the Christmas period with this stunningly decorated cocktail. Guests will love the sweet and dry flavours of the bubbles infused with sherry and pear. See method

Ingredients

  • 8 sugar cubes
  • 4 tbsp Tesco Finest Oloroso sherry
  • 1 pear, quartered, cored and sliced
  • 8 sprigs rosemary
  • 75cl bottle cava or prosecco, chilled

Method

  1. Pop a sugar cube into 8 Champagne glasses, then add ½ tbsp sherry to each. Infuse for 1 min, or until the sugar absorbs the sherry and starts to dissolve.
  2. Divide the pear and rosemary sprigs between the glasses, then top up with cava or prosecco. Serve immediately.

Top tip: No sugar cubes on hand? Simply use a teaspoon of caster sugar instead.
