This fruity, thick smoothie combines the sweet, sharp flavour of rhubarb with warming ginger, zesty oranges and creamy yogurt. Try this easy smoothie recipe as a boosting breakfast or an afternoon treat.

In a pan, gently heat the rhubarb, the orange juice, ginger, and honey for 15-20 minutes, until softened. Set aside to cool completely, then chill until needed.

In a blender, whizz the rhubarb mixture with the yogurt, until combined. Add the oats and the ground almonds and whizz again briefly.
