This decadent hot chocolate recipe is a real treat for kids – and adults alike. If you're feeling adventurous, try topping with some whipped cream and marshmallows or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

  1. Whisk the cocoa powder and caster sugar into 50ml milk until dissolved.
  2. Pour the remaining milk into a pan, add the chocolate mixture and bring to the boil.
  3. Chop the dark chocolate and place nearly all of it into a mug.
  4. Pour over the boiling milk and sprinkle with the leftover chocolate.
