3-ingredient cookie dough mummies

For the ultimate sweet Halloween treat, give these easy three-ingredient cookie dough mummies a go. With a rich chocolate cookie centre and covered in melted white chocolate, you and the kids can get creative with the bandages and scary eyes to decorate.

  1. Make the dough

Blitz 200g quadruple chocolate cookies to fine crumbs in a food processor. Break a 100g bar of dark chocolate into pieces, setting aside a few squares for decoration later. Melt the remaining chocolate in a bowl placed over a pan of barely simmering water, being careful not to let the bowl touch the water. Add the melted chocolate to the food processor and blitz until the mixture starts to clump together.

  2. Roll

Pinch off pieces of the dough and roll between the palms of your hands to create 12 small balls. Place on a tray or plate and put in the fridge for 30 mins to firm up.

  3. Decorate

Melt 100g white chocolate in a bowl placed over a pan of barely simmering water, being careful not to let the bowl touch the water. Dip the cookie dough balls into the white chocolate to coat fully (using a fork or cocktail stick), then place on a tray or plate lined with baking paper. Chill in the fridge or freezer for 5-10 mins to set. Melt another 50g white chocolate as above and put in a small piping bag or sandwich bag. Snip off the corner and pipe zigzag bandages across the mummies. Melt the reserved squares of dark chocolate and use a cocktail stick to dot on eyes. Chill until set.
