Take the stress out of hosting with this easy three-ingredient canapé idea. Ripe figs are baked with tangy goat’s cheese and honey for a sweet-and-savoury combination that’s ready in just 10 minutes. Don’t forget to note down the ingredients list at the bottom before shopping.
Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Cut 8 figs in half and place, cut-side up, on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cut a cross into the middle of each fig, being careful not to cut all the way through the skin. Lightly squeeze the figs to open up the crosses.
Crumble 100g soft goat’s cheese over and into each fig, pressing it down a little if needed.
Drizzle over 3 tbsp clear honey. Bake the figs for 5 mins or until sticky and softened.
Transfer to a serving platter or board, and serve warm.
