3 warm salads to enjoy this winter

Who said salads were just for summer? We’ve transformed everyone’s favourite crisp and crunchy salads into wonderful winter warmers. Featuring a reinvented Caesar salad and a roasted tomato Caprese – now that’s some feel-good food!

  1. Charred cabbage and chicken Caesar salad

Swap out lettuce leaves for charred sweetheart cabbage wedges to make this comforting Caesar-style salad. Accompanied with griddled chicken and a beautifully boiled egg, drizzle over a homemade Caesar dressing for the perfect finishing touch. Don’t forget shavings of Parmesan and extra anchovies – who can resist?

  2. Warm Caprese salad

Who doesn’t love a Caprese salad? We’ve given the Italian classic a winter makeover, so you can enjoy the flavours of tomato, mozzarella and basil all year-round. Roast your tomatoes with garlic and a drizzle of olive oil, then serve with torn mozzarella and homemade basil garlic bread for scooping up all that tomatoey goodness.

  3. Blue cheese and pear salad

Griddled pears and chicory are topped with crumbled blue cheese and caramelised walnuts to make this wonderful winter salad. We’ve used Stilton here, but you can use whatever blue cheese you fancy. Drizzle over a little honey to finish; sweet, crunchy and a little bit spicy, this salad has it all.
