Banana and chocolate is a marriage made in heaven and this delicious no-frills dessert throws in extra marshmallows to create an indulgent, gooey filling which can be melted on the BBQ in minutes.

Preheat the barbecue. Put each banana on a piece of foil large enough to wrap the banana completely. Make a deep cut along the inside curve of each banana, making sure not to cut through to the other side.

Carefully stuff each banana with an equal amount of chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Wrap in the foil, making sure they are well sealed, and then cook on the barbecue for 15 minutes or until the chocolate and marshmallows have melted.

Remove from the barbecue and unwrap. Serve straight from the banana skin with a scoop of ice cream.
