This fruity gin is full of festive flavours. Whip up a batch to give to your friends and family this Christmas. It tastes great in cocktails or just with a dash of tonic water. See method

Ingredients

  • 200g frozen cranberries
  • pared zest from 2 clementines
  • 150g white caster sugar
  • 1ltr Gordon's special dry London gin
  • You will also need a 2ltr sterilised sealable glass jar or 2 x 1ltr sterilised bottles, plus however many bottles and jars you want to decant into for gifting, labels and ribbon

Method

  1. Put the frozen cranberries, clementine zest and sugar in to a 2ltr sterilised* jar. Pour over the gin, then mix to combine. You can also do this in 2 x 1ltr sterilised* bottles, dividing the ingredients equally between them.
  2. Leave for 5 days at room temperature, out of direct sunlight to infuse, shaking once a day.
  3. Strain to discard the cranberries and zest, then bottle in sterilised* jars or gift bottles. Decorate with labels or ribbon. This will keep in a sealed container for up to a month.

*To sterilise glass jars, wash in hot, soapy water and rinse well. Dry in the oven for 15-20 mins at gas 1, 140°C, fan 120°C until hot and completely dry. Boil metal lids and rubber seals for 10 mins, then leave to dry.
