Blended frozen bananas are the perfect dairy-free alternative to ice cream. Not only is this dessert completely delicious, but it's super easy to make with just two ingredients.

  1. Cut the bananas into even-sized chunks, then place in a freezer bag and freeze for 2 hrs or until just solid.
  2. Place the frozen chunks in a food processor and pulse for a couple of minutes until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Keep pulsing, and scraping down the sides, until the mixture turns smooth and creamy like softly whipped ice-cream. Whiz through the honey, then stir through any flavourings (see Tip).
  3. Serve immediately or put in a freezer container and freeze for up to 1 month.

Tip: For a flavour twist, try stirring through 15g dark chocolate chips, 15g dried cherries or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. To make this recipe vegan, swap the honey for maple syrup or agave nectar.
