Ingredients

  • 300ml Scotch whisky
  • 6 black (or green) cardamom pods, cracked
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2cm piece of fresh ginger
  • 600ml no-added sugar ginger beer

Method

  1. Fill 6 tumblers with ice cubes. Add 50ml Scotch whisky, 1 cracked black (or green) cardamom pod, ½ tsp vanilla extract and a sliver of fresh ginger to each glass.
  2. Swirl using a long spoon. Pour 100ml chilled ginger beer into each glass to serve.

Get ahead: Assemble the spiced whisky in a jug and store in the fridge for up to 8 hrs until ready to use.
