Zainab Pirzada's air-fryer wings are great as part of an Iftar spread. They're coated in a sweet and spicy honey sauce for a moreishly sticky marinade and topped with spring onions and sesame seeds for extra crunch. See method

Method

  1. Start by cutting the chicken wings into drums and flats. This is optional, you can leave them whole.
  2. Use kitchen paper to get rid of any moisture from the chicken, patting the wings nice and dry.
  3. Put the chicken in a large bowl and sprinkle over the salt and cornflour and give it a good mix.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the honey, chilli oil, lemon juice, pepper and soy sauce. Add in the cooked wings and give them a good toss.
  5. Cook in the air-fryer at 200°C for 20-25 mins or until the wings are a golden, sticky colour.
  6. Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds and serve immediately.
