Ingredients

  • 1 x 220g pack frozen giant Yorkshire puddings
  • 50g dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 50ml double cream
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 x 410g tin halved pears in syrup
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 tbsp flaked almonds, toasted, to serve
  • 2 amaretti biscuits, crumbled, to serve
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method

  1. Heat the Yorkshire puddings to pack instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, put the chocolate, cream and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until smooth and glossy, then remove from the heat and stir in 1 tbsp boiling water.
  3. Fill each Yorkshire pudding with 3 pear halves and 2 scoops vanilla ice cream, then drizzle over the chocolate sauce. Sprinkle with the almonds and amaretti biscuits to serve.
