A traditional Bloody Mary cocktail is an invigorating tipple – the 'Lifesaver' is said to work wonders on a hangover. The lifesaver is made using fresh tomato juice, Tabasco sauce and vodka for a fiery drink that's sure to kickstart your day. For a delicious Virgin Mary, simply skip the alcohol. 

  1. Mix the tomato juice, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and lemon juice in a large jug. Cover with clingfilm and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours. This will allow the flavours to blend together.
  2. When ready to serve, put some ice in 6 glasses and add the vodka, then the tomato juice. Stir gently and add a celery stick if liked.
