Gingerbread eggnog recipe

With dark rum, sweet Advocaat and warming winter spices, this gingerbread twist on classic Christmas eggnog is the ideal festive tipple. Simply whisk the ingredients together, garnish with fiery ginger and a fragrant cinnamon stick and enjoy. See method

120ml dark rum
180ml Advocaat
240ml single cream
360ml whole milk
2 tbsp golden syrup
1½ tsp ground ginger, plus extra to garnish
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
6 cinnamon sticks, to garnish

Method

In a large jug, whisk together all the ingredients (except for the cinnamon sticks) until combined.
Fill 6 short glasses with ice and divide the drink between them.
Garnish with a sprinkling of ground ginger and a cinnamon stick.
