Ingredients

  • 400g pasta shape of your choice
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely sliced
  • 150g frozen peas
  • 1 tbsp Kallø organic vegetable & mixed herbs stock paste
  • 100g crème fraîche
  • finely grated zest ½ lemon, plus extra to serve
  • 125g thick-cut ham, roughly chopped or torn
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped mint, plus extra to serve
  • 2 tbsp finely grated Parmesan, to serve

Method

  1. Put the pasta and garlic in a large saucepan and pour over 1.1ltrs of boiling water. 
  2. Stir and cook for 7 mins. Add the peas and cook for another 2 mins. Most of the water should have evaporated – about a cupful will remain in the bottom of the pan. Stir in the Kallø stock paste and cook for 1 min. 
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the crème fraîche, lemon zest, ham and mint. Season with black pepper and serve with a scattering of Parmesan and extra mint and lemon zest.
